Inemuri (jap. ε±…ηœ γ‚Š β€žanwesend sein und schlafenβ€œ) ist die in Japan ΓΌbliche ΓΆffentliche Form des Nickerchens. So ist es in Japan nicht unΓΌblich, wΓ€hrend einer Konferenz, einer Pause oder in der Bahn zu β€žschlafenβ€œ. Diese Art von Schlaf ist jedoch so flach, dass man die Umgebung noch soweit wahrnimmt, um beispielsweise an der richtigen Haltestelle auszusteigen.

Das Wort Inemuri setzt sich zusammen aus i[ru] (ε±…[γ‚‹] β€žanwesend seinβ€œ) und nemuri (ηœ γ‚Š β€žSchlafβ€œ).
